Official Statement on former FDP Chair Stephen Bittel

Our statement on the resignation and behavior of former Florida Democratic Party Chair Stephen Bittel:

“We strongly believe in upholding the value of respect for all people, regardless of race, national origin, age, gender, sex, disability, familial status, religion, sexual orientation, gender identity and expression. Sexual harassment is never acceptable, and we strongly condemn the inappropriate actions of former Florida Democratic Party Chair Stephen Bittel towards women. We must work to ensure there is permanent change in the culture, workplace or otherwise. We stand with the women who made the courageous decision to speak out and as a result move us all forward. As an organization, we look forward to the opportunity to work with a team with the integrity to uphold our values and lead our party to many victories in 2018.”
